Change in Developers at 8th and Colorado

The former President and former Vice President of Sembler, Jeff Fuqua and Heather Correa, recently announced they are creating a new company tentatively named Fuqua Development and will be developing the 8th and Colorado site along with the Lionstone Group, a privately owned real estate investment firm headquartered in Houston, TX.

Jeff Fuqua has left Sembler to create a company that will take control of the project. Fuqua Development will be headquartered in Atlanta. Fuqua Development has a commitment from retailers to occupy 300,000 square feet of space, but they have not disclosed which retailers they are working with.

Denver Parks and Recreation is funding a new playground redesign and renovation at Mayfair Park and they are looking for input from the neighborhood.

The Top Performing School incentive is awarded to those schools that have earned the highest overall percentage of points on the School Performance Framework (SPF).  All schools that have been designated as "meets expectations" (green) or "distinguished" (blue) on the overall SPF will be eligible for the Top Performing Schools incentive for 2010-11.  Top Performing schools are identified every autumn, based on data gathered about the previous contract year.
